Reservations Policy

DEPOSIT/CANCELLATION POLICY

A non-refundable $500 processing fee will be charged at time of booking. The balance of your stay will be charged to the card on file according to the deposit date specified at the time of booking (see schedule below). Should you cancel your reservation prior to the end of your cancellation window, the $500 processing fee will be forfeited. If the cancellation is made after the cancellation window, the $500 processing fee and full deposit will be forfeited. In the event you do not arrive on the arrival date of your reservation, your reservation will be cancelled and the amount collected will be forfeited at that time.

Full deposit due 30 days prior to arrival. If you cancel inside of 30 days prior to arrival the full deposit will be forfeited.

For stays during holidays and special events a full deposit is due 60 days prior to arrival. If you cancel 60 days prior to arrival the full deposit will be forfeited.
 
Sunset Key Cottages provides self-parking for $30 per day or valet parking for $40 per day.

We reserve the right to cancel or modify reservations where it appears that a customer has engaged in fraudulent or inappropriate activity or under other circumstances where it appears that the rates or details of the reservation contains or resulted from a mistake or error. Advance reservations for Dining and Spa must be made directly with each outlet after confirming your Room Package Reservation. All packages exclude taxes, resort fee and gratuities.

If you selected a reservation which includes a package please contact the resort prior to your arrival to confirm your dining or spa reservations. Packages do not include gratuities.

Sunset Key Cottages is a non-pet and non-smoking resort. Guests must be 25 years of age or older to be able to check-in.

RESORT FEE

The daily $250 resort fee (plus tax), provides every guest with:

  • Beach & pool chairs and towels with food and beverage service available
  • Access to resort beach
  • Access to fitness center
  • Access to hammocks, property-wide
  • Newspapers in the concierge lounge and 
  • Daily Rise and Dine breakfast basket delivered to the cottage porch daily with fresh orange juice placed in room at night
  • Nightly turndown service with local, unusual treats (not just your ordinary chocolates!)
  • Wireless Internet
  • Unlimited local and toll-free calls
  • Use of tennis & basketball courts, including rackets and balls
  • Use of fishing poles & bait
  • Bottled water upon arrival
  • Scented towels upon arrival
  • Daily poolside treats on the hour (from 12 p.m.-4 p.m.)
  • Use of books and DVD library

100% of the resort fee is used to support these services. No portion of the resort fee constitutes a gratuity and no portion goes to any resort associate.

PAYMENT:
The same credit card used for the deposit must be presented at the time of check-in along with the card holder's driver's license. This credit card must be valid for the entire stay. We do not accept any third-party billing.
 
CREDIT/DEBIT CARD POLICY:
Debit and credit cards will be authorized at check-in for the amount of your stay, plus an amount to cover incidentals. The authorization will hold the funds until check-out, at which time the amount actually incurred during the stay will be charged. Authorized amounts may take up to 30 days after departure to be released by your bank or financial institution and the hotel will not be responsible for any resulting fees or charges.
